Quote of the Day

I just read this on a blog and I love it so much.
If life is hard right now think of it like this:

"You are walking through a fire. If you stop now, you will burn. So you gotta keep moving."

8 Months Old: Our Daily Schedule (Working Mom @ Office)

Hi everyone!!
I am all about reading people's daily routines. I love seeing people's own schedules and I enjoy how much everyone's differ.
I thought it would be fun to show what a normal weekday looks like for us now that Will and I are both back to work, Ryenn is on a regular sleep schedule and our days arent AS hectic now that I've gotten the hang of it a bit.

Monday-Thursday:

6:00am I start my mornings and wake up around 6am. If I've taken a shower the night before, I'll skip it in the morning and head straight into washing my face, brushing my teeth, and getting ready for work. I'll also go downstairs and start a pot of coffee and make Ryenn's bottle.

6:30am-7:00am Ryenn wakes up to start her day anywhere from 6:30-7:00am.
If she's still sleeping by 7am we will go in her room and wake her up. One of my favorite parts of my day is going in her room when she's awake and being the first to say good morning. I love her little smile and how her face lights up when I come into the room.

7:00am: First bottle of the day, 7oz

7:00am: As Ryenn's having her breakfast, I am out the door and off to work. My husband takes over from here when it comes to baby duties.

7:00am-5:30pm It takes me about 10 to 15 minutes to get to the office. I am currently working 4, 10 hour days so I can have Friday's off and more time with Ryenn. I really like having three day weekends, but I will admit it's hard when 4 days a week I only get about 2.5 hours a day with her. That's it!! :(  I work in accounting so my days are filled with meetings, processing checks, paying bills, balancing books...etc. Fun stuff! ha

8:30am: Now we are on dad's schedule. He gets ready for work, changes Ryenn into her outfit of the day (#OOTD) and packs up her bottles, food and takes her to daycare.

10:00am If Ryenn isnt napping, Ryenn gets her bottle every 3 hours. 10am should be her next feeding. 7oz, given by daycare teacher

10:00-11:30am- Nap, play... differes every day at daycare.

11:30am Ryenn gets one jar of solids for lunch, I've been loving this brand of baby food and Ryenn so far seems to love all the flavors offered. I did make her babyfood myself the first month of her starting solids, but I found it easier to just buy the jars to save on time and I like that it's organic with only 1-2 ingredients. I didnt feel so bad when I stopped making her food. #realtalk

1:00pm-5:30pm The day continues the same at daycare for Ryenn. She gets a bottle every 3 hours, naps and plays in between and gets one more jar of solids around 2-3pm

5:30pm - Will picks up Ryenn from daycare

5:45pm  I get home from work and cuddle with Ryenn and start dinner. Ryenn LOVES being held by us at all times right now so usually dinner consists of Will and I both in the kitchen and taking turns holding Ryenn and passing her back and forth while we cook.

6:30pm: Dinner - we sit down for dinner and lately Ryenn has been really good about sitting at the table with us in her highchair and snacking on some puffs while we eat.

7:00pm: After dinner Will and I will hang out and play with Ryenn and her toys and head up for bathtime right around 7pm. I'm 99% of the time on bath duty so while I give Ryenn a bath, Will will clean up the dishes from dinner and pick up around downstairs.

7:30pm: Ryenn and I finish up the bath and get her dressed in her jammies and head back downstairs for her last bottle. We'll sit on the couch and feed her her bottle.

7:45-8pm This is wind down time for us. I take Ryenn back upstairs and we sit in her rocking chair in her nursery and read books. She's really loving the "touch and feel" books right now. This one is her favorite.

8:00pm - Bedtime: I turn on the white noise machine, turn off her lamp and leave only her nightlight on and lay Ryenn down in her crib to sleep. She loves her "wubbanub" paci so I give that to her and she is one happy camper.
So far, Ryenn has been wonderful sleeper and will usually go straight to sleep with no fuss and sleep through the night. **fingers crossed emoji**

8:15pm-9:30pm  As of late, I've started going to the gym more consistently. The gym is right next to our house, so I usually get all dressed in my workout gear before bathtime, and then once I lay Ryenn down to bed, I head straight to the gym. Or I'll have Will put Ryenn down to bed, and I'll sneak away to the gym a little earlier. Like 7:45pm

9:45pm I get home, shower, and crawl into bed. And that is our normal day!

In case you're curious what our feeding schedule looks like, here is a breakdown. I only say this because I find this the most interesting when reading other mom's daily routines. I'm not sure if I'm giving her enough or too much, but this schedule works for us right now.

Ryenn's feeding schedule (8 months old)
7:00am 7oz bottle
10:00am 7oz bottle
11:30am : 4oz jar of food
1:00pm 7oz bottle
3:30pm 4oz jar of food
4:00pm 7oz bottle
7:30pm 7 oz bottle

The end!
